Sweet Summer Giveaway

In a matter of days, this little baby will dive into a smash cake, stare at wrapping paper, and clap her hands as people who love her sing a birthday song.

Nora is growing up! Sure, there's a 12-month sticker and teary post coming, but this kind of celebration calls for a giveaway. We are throwing Nora a watermelon-themed bash this Saturday, so Marie at Sassy Sweet Pea Designs {my favorite shop for boutique headbands} was happy to stick to the theme. This adorable headband is made up of three shabby flowers in hot pink, green and white, and topped with a teeny watermelon slice, perfect for summertime. The glittery elastic adds a girly touch, and the colors are even more beautiful in person. The pink watermelon pops, but I hear she has an equally cute red version, too. Spring Style Giveaway

It is cold outside, y'all.

Though spring is inching closer, it's hard to imagine anything other than grey skies through a frosty window. This February has not been a nice one, and it has me wishing for bright colors and warm days. So you know I was pumped when the owner of Sassy Sweet Pea Designs contacted me about letting Nora show off some of her best spring styles {with a little something-something in it for you, too!}.

Before we get to the giveaway portion of today's post, I have a few cute things I need you to see. This is one of my favorite Etsy shops and its owner, Marie, and I have become fast friends as she's styled my daughter's fuzzy little chicken head for months. I was honored when she chose Nora to play model for this particular idea and I have to admit that baby of mine does her products justice. See for yourself:

{ONE} First is the pretty purple number Nora is sporting. Marie has several color options for this little chiffon flower, decked out with pearls and sparkly rhinestones. It looks precious on Nora and I love the skinny elastics Marie has used for all three of these headbands. They're dainty on baby girls, and don't compete with the flowers or accents. I can see this headband with a sweet dress on a Sunday morning.

{TWO} On the second row is a sunny yellow puff that looked so sweet for Nora's seven-month photo shoot. The pale yellow color goes great with her skin and the mini puff makes her look like an adorable little present. This color and simple style will go with everything from fancy dresses to comfy T-shirts and heck, maybe by then she might even have a little more hair to go with it!

{THREE} I do believe I've saved the best for last. Marie definitely had Nora in mind when she chose to send this turquoise eyelet flower. It makes her blue eyes pop beautifully. Don't be surprised if you see this one again, and I won't be surprised if this one becomes a top seller. For years I swore that I'd never fall into the "bigger the bow, better the mama" crowd. But then the ultrasound tech told me it was a girl.

Although I have done well to maintain a nice head-to-bow ratio, Nora June has been no stranger to accessories in her short four months. Since I've surrendered to the cuteness, I have found a few online shops that have done well to feed my addiction. One in particular, however, has me hooked. Marie is the sweet owner of Sassy Sweet Pea Designs and our personalities clicked after my first order - not to mention she makes a mean bow. You have seen her work in this post and this one, too. She was even awesome enough to send a few goodies for Nora to model and me to review. Check out her work, but don't forget to read the bottom of this post. First things first, though. I have some cute things to show you.


Look at that sweet baby and that sweet headband! This little gem is so precious and looks awesome on my Nora. Both the color and the burlap texture are perfect for fall and the thin elastic makes the beautiful bow pop. Despite Nora's pout, I think my baby girl approves. You may see this again in our upcoming family photos.


If you've ever taken a peek into Nora's nursery, you know I was pumped to see a little aqua and pink in this special delivery. The chevron elastic is adorable and the pink mini bow sets off the bright blue flowers {which highlight her bright blue eyes}. This wasn't the only aqua and pink item, either. Marie specializes in high-quality, handcrafted bows, but she has a few other tricks up her sleeves, too. We got a little something for the bottom to match the top:

When I unwrapped this precious white peony headband the first thing I thought of was Christmas! It's got a little bling in the middle and a lot of sparkle on the elastic. It will be perfect for the holidays and I can see Nora rocking this beneath the tree. Speaking of Christmas, please notice the new rolled satin flowers when you browse Marie's shop. She just added them a few days ago and I immediately added them to my wish list.
